Check out this incredible photo of what is left of the Norton Point breach. It is now very close to closing and sealing itself off to Wasque Point. Thanks to Bill Brine for this awesome photo and for the Chappy Ferry Facebook page for posting it!

The link below will bring you to the Chappy Ferry Facebook page and directly to the photo. Be sure to check out the Chappy Ferry site as well as it has other pictures of the breach as well.

Update by Ron Domurat

"Norton Point has been racing east to a point where it's now less than 150 yards from Wasque which you can see in the distance. It's migrated more than 200 feet in the last week and a half alone. It's still anybodys guess as to when it will close but it appears as though there is some shallow water between the end of Norton Point and Wasque."

MVSA Banquet and Raffle
Saturday, January 24th at noon
Old Whaling Church, Edgartown

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming annual banquet/awards/meeting.  Kathi and her team of volunteers have been working hard to get some great raffle prizes and silent auction donations lined up, plus Paula has an outstanding buffet planned.  As always, shucking and set-up help is welcome.  If you have some cycles on Sat morning to help out please join us at ~10:00AM on Jan 24’th

A few folks have reached out to let us know they won’t be able to attend.  If you can’t make the banquet and would like to continue your membership just send us a note and your 2015 dues ($30/household).  Make sure you include any contact info changes.  If you would like to participate in the raffle please include your ticket donation and how you would like it applied – schoolie, keeper, or lunker tickets.  If there’s no one at the banquet who can pass along your prize(s) we’ll figure out a way to get it to you.

The USPS address for the club is

PO Box 3053

Wishing you all  Happy New Year
