The TTOR has provided the latest updates on the OSV trails and current beach conditions after hurricane Sandy went through the region. If you are headed out to Chappy or Norton Point please check the latest conditions and be extremely careful.
The folowing is the latest report as of November 4th:
- East beach is OPEN all the way to Wasque.
- Cape Poge is OPEN except to the Gut which is impassable due to mountains of seaweed.
- Norton Point is not in good shape due to severe erosion, new 2012 trails wiped out.
- Conditions and beach openings are changing daily.
- TTOR advises OSV drivers to proceed with diligence and caution and be prepared for unexpected hazards.
- New nor'easter due Wednesday, 11/7 this week.
