Lights Out Martha’s Vineyard

Lights Out Martha’s Vineyard is an island-wide energy conservation event taking place on Saturday, March 29, 2008, when Islanders are encouraged to join the nation in turning out non-essential lighting for one hour between 8:00-9:00 pm. Please sign up to participate in this event as an organization, business or individual at Vineyard Conservation Society Almanac (http://almanac.vcsmv.org/lights_out).

This event is being held in conjunction with Lights Out America (www.lightsoutamerica.org) and Earth Hour (www.earthhour.org). Lights Out Martha’s Vineyard promotes energy-saving actions such as turning off non-essential lights and installing compact fluorescent light bulbs in homes and offices before the event.

Please join us in this energy saving night!

The Launch Committee,

Marnie Stanton, Nan Doty, Dean Bragonier, Gail Tipton
