Lights Out Martha’s Vineyard
Lights Out Martha’s Vineyard is
an island-wide energy conservation event taking place on
Saturday, March 29, 2008, when Islanders are encouraged to join
the nation in turning out non-essential lighting for one hour
between 8:00-9:00 pm. Please sign up to participate in this
event as an organization, business or individual at Vineyard
Conservation Society Almanac (http://almanac.vcsmv.org/lights_out).
This event is being held in
conjunction with Lights Out America (www.lightsoutamerica.org) and
Earth Hour (www.earthhour.org). Lights Out Martha’s Vineyard
promotes energy-saving actions such as turning off non-essential
lights and installing compact fluorescent light bulbs in homes and
offices before the event.
Please join us in this energy
saving night!
