Support Oak Bluffs Fishing Pier
The kids of Martha's Vineyard really need your help right now. The project to build a fishing pier in Oak Bluffs is at a critical stage. It has been referred to the Martha's Vineyard Commission for review. The neighborhood residents are predicting all sorts of dire consequences in order to raise fears and kill the project.
We're not asking for money, just your time to send an e-mail. PLEASE send an e-mail addressed to the following links.

RE: DRI #628; Application for a fishing pier from the Office of Fishing and Boating Access, Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game; LUPC hearing and DRI hearing
We hope you tell them that you support the project "as is" without any reservations. Tell them it is in the right place and back it up with a personal story if you have ever fished that area.
Don't let the project kicked down the road to a place where there isn't good habitat. This is our chance right now. Massachusetts has the money to build this terrific project. We don't want to start all over again back at the beginning with the State and Town. We'll be years away.
The kids won't think too much of a new hobby that has them trying to catch a fish in a shallow water desert.
Please help us bring this project to life. Write a short e-mail right now. It needs to be done today. The deadline is August 12 to give both parties time to digest our input.
Thank you, MVSA Board
