The following is a summary given to the MVSA by the Virginia Institute of Marine Science on Mycobacteriosis in Striped Bass. There is also a link to the seminar and webinar at the end of this summary if anyone is interested.
Just wanted to give you an update as to the dollars raised so far for Myco research. To date the amount is $6,140 from 55 donors. Future donations can be made at the link at the bottom of this page.
I also wanted to let you know that Dr. Vogelbein will be giving an After Hours lecture on February 23, 2012, at 7 p.m. titled “Is Mycobacteriosis killing Virginia’s striped bass?”
I know that the majority of the supporters for his research are from the northeast and they won’t be able to attend in person but they can join the lecture through a web link that will be set up during the lecture to ask questions. The lecture will also be made available to view on our website after the lecture takes place.
