Update as of May 26, 2013:
Here is an update about the state of the beaches. Currently, our only area closed to OSVs is the end of the Gut – however, there is still room on TTOR property out past the Windmill House to pull over and park and fish. We are still enforcing dog bans on Leland Beach, the Gut, and the eastward end of Norton Point Beach. The dog ban in these areas will continue until mid-August/the end of shorebird season.
We are also very excited to let you know that for the first time in several years, there is OSV access from Wasque. The access requires OSV permits (of course!) and can be reached from the Wasque Swimming Beach parking area. There is a rather steep embankment, which is doable – IF people deflate properly. Please help us spread the word!
Also, I am plugging our Facebook page to everyone I can – www.facebook.com/trusteesmv. I’ve been updating regularly with different things going on around all of our Island properties, so please follow us – and if you have suggestions for posts, let me know!
The Beach Access Hotline is still 508.627.8390 and is being updated regularly. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thanks
Katie
