Hello Surfcaster Members, The Aggie fair will be happening again in a few weeks. A few years ago we started to participate in the fair. We have been well received by the community and won blue ribbons each year. The first year we introduced ourselves and displayed information about our group, the work we do in the community and displayed flies and lures and hand made artworks from some of our members. The following year we did a display on "How to Fish" and last year we gave information about the state regulations and a few conservation techniches to use fishing , like using circle hooks. Thousands and thousands of people from all over the world annually view the aggie hall exhibits. We need a few members to volunteer to make this happen again this year. Think of a theme, figure out a display and then set it up the morning that the fair begins (a Thursday) and break it down on Monday morning. Me and Paula Sullivan. Peter Johnson and Olga Church have been the committee. We need some new ideas and new bodies to help. Please let me know if you want to get involved. Let's not let this opportunity to show the world what we are made of.We have been together for over 20 years and still even island folk are not aware of who we are and what great things we accomplish each year. Thanks, Janet
